British aristocrat and politician
Birthday: December 14, 1748 (Age: 265)
Status: Married to the Duches of Devonshire (Georgiana Cavendish)
Parents: 4th Duke of Devonshire (William Cavendish) and Lady Charlotte Boyle
1st marriage: Elizabeth Cavendish
Siblings: George Cavendish, Lord Richard
Children: Charlotte Clifford, Harriet Cavendish, Georgiana Cavendish, William Cavendish.
Georgiana was the first child of three, of the first Earl Spencer and his ambitious wife, Georgiana Poyntz. The Countess encourage the friendship with the Devonshire family which led Georgiana's mother proposed her to become my wife, for her to be the Duchess of Devnoshire. She accepted, and we got married on her seventeenth birthday, June 7, 1774. We bearly got to know each other, we did not speak that much about our life and interests, that for me was not an important part of marriage,
and that did not interested me very much. I love her in the way I am supposed to love her. What I really wanted most about that marriage was, loyalty from her side, that means she could not have any affair with anyone, and a male son for him to be my heritor, the 6th Duke of
Devonshire.

I am a man of few words. I am very pleased and happy only being at home with my dogs, which I love the most. The Devonshire house remained the centre of whig politics, a place for politicians of the day to meet socially and do meetings and parties.
I first, had a child with a maid, called Charlotte, but her mother died and I decided Charlotte could live in the house and Georgiana take care of her, practicing while we have our first kid.
I was very mad because of four tries of having kids, Georgiana could only give birth to two girls and the other two births were boys and died when born, and what really matters to me was a boy in my family. Until we finally had a boy which we called William.

I met Lady Elizabeth at a party and invited her to dance with me, but she rejected. Georgiana saw us talking, so she went to speak to her and ask her what was going on and that they should see each other again. They became very good friends, and since Lady Elizabeth did not have where to stay, we invited her to stay in our place meanwhile. I started an affair with her and ask her to stay forever. Georgiana did not have other choice but accept this affair. She started noticing that she had feelings to Charles Grey, and she proposed that Lady Elizabeth and I stay together, if she and Charles Grey stayed together. But I could not be a cheated Duke and that could not possibly happened, so I denied, and said that if she sees Charles Grey again, I will take away her children and she could not be able to see them again, that is why she could never be with Charles Grey and Lady Elizabeth stayed in our place until Georgiana's death.

COSTUME
I look handsome in a coat, waistcoat or vest, knee-breeches and wig tied at the back of my neck. My stock, or stiffened neckcloth, would stay in fashion until the 1840s. The silouette of my coat is subdued from the flamboyant super-wide cuffs and full skirts it had in the late 1600s. Tha name of my coat was called Justaucorps, which is a 3/4 sleeves with wide cuffs, usually left open, exposing the buttoned waistcoat of the same lenght. A waistocoat which was the most decorative item in a man's waredrove, a shirt which was similar as the previous century, and of the neckwear, I had a variety of plain cravats and jabots. Also I wore fitted shorten trousers, a double bres vest and a top hat or only a wig.
